If you are into personal development, you know that the insights & ah-ha moments that come to you feel so exhilarating and motivating! And then there are those moments where you are wondering when the good is coming your way. It can feel discouraging, but realize something important - you are still waking up! Those discouraging thoughts, feelings, attitudes & patterns that come up along the way are normal. In Gay Hendricks’ book The Big Leap, this is described as “upper limit energy.” Our subconscious belief systems reach a point of comfort; when you reach that point, the chaos can begin! What can you do to overcome those moments where you feel you have hit a wall? My best insight on that is to trust yourself, trust your process and trust time. The quickest way to get through those times you feel stuck is to be peaceful with the pause. Resist the urge to think (or obsess) about the pause. When you're tempted to be a victim of your circumstance or of someone's words, actions, or inaction, remind yourself to let it go. Get yourself back to peace.
I remember the first time I had to really put that into practice - I had just upgraded my coaching sessions & prices, and a new client made her investment. After one session, this client decided she couldn't spend the money for several reasons, and asked for her money back. It stung at first, and then I took a breath and let her go with gratitude and love. About 10 minutes later (and I'm not exaggerating), I received a phone call from a woman I had never met. She literally said, “You were referred to me as an expert in helping people clear emotional blocks. I want to buy a package and get started right away!” I took another breath, said a quick prayer of gratitude, and we got all the details worked out!
In that moment of hearing that someone wanted a refund, I could have gone to a really self-critical, down place. After all, I had been in that place many, many times before throughout my life. This time was different. I had cleared enough hidden lies that my brain did not go there. I was standing in my power in a whole new way! It felt amazing & I knew this was the moment I had been practicing for! You can get there too! My team & I are here to help you every step of the way.
Keep practicing being patient with the pause!
All my best,
